Fish Assist turns your iPhone camera into a fish species recognition and measurement tool (not a tool to comply with fisheries). Simply take a photo of your catch and select one of the species given to you by Fish Assist utilising our world class image recognition software. The fish you have selected is then measured and you are told if it is legal to keep according to your current Fisheries location in Australia and the measurement obtained. (Accuracy can vary according to how you use this app and please only use iPhone 4 or 5) .This has been designed to be used as a Guideline only and a bit of fun so we take no responsibilty if the accuracy varies) Check out our Facebook page (link below) in the about section for youtube clips to see this amazing App in action. It contains information about each species common names, size restrictions per state, individual and mixed bag limits, closed seasons, protected areas, protected species and step by step popular fishing knots. You can then upload the image and data to Facebook and Instagram to brag to your mates, save the data to use later or share the App with friends. It’s a lot of fun and will save you money as it gives you access to all the legal requirements needed for recreational fishing in Australia.
