CVOffice, LLC, a leading developer of mobile software for health care practitioners, and ARMUS Corporation, an innovative Silicon Valley based information technology development company in the field of clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting for cardiac surgery and cardiology have teamed up to present Adult Cardiac Surgery Risk Calculator. Cardiac surgery has inherent risks. This application is designed to estimate the risk of morbidity and mortality following the most common types of open heart surgery. This includes coronary bypass surgery, aortic and mitral valve surgery, and combined valve-bypass surgery. The calculator is based on the most recently available data submitted by surgeons throughout the United States. This calculator calculates risk based on the results of large numbers of patients, but is not a substitute for the opinion of expert Cardiac Surgeons and Cardiologists.
