The Vital Signs Camera app from Philips measures your heart rate and breathing rate from a distance, simply by using the camera of your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S!

This breakthrough technology allows you to measure your vital signs in an easy and unobtrusive way at home*. It measures contactless and can even measure two people at the same time!
• Measures your heart rate from the changes in color of your face
• Measures your breathing rate from the motion of your chest
• Unobtrusive: no need to hold or even touch the iPad 2 or iPhone 4S!
• No additional hardware, just uses the camera and advanced video analysis software

How it works?
Your heartbeat causes small changes in the color of your face. These changes are not visible to the eye, but with advanced software the iPad 2 or iPhone 4S camera detects these "micro-blushes" to measure your heart rate.

When you breathe, your chest moves up and down. With advanced software, the iPad 2 or iPhone 4S camera tracks the movement of your chest to measure your breathing rate.

+ Use the history graphs to look at longer-term heart rate and breathing rate trends
+ Compare your heart rate and breathing rate measurement to your daily or hourly average
+ Export your history using iTunes
+ Share screenshots of your results online
+ Two hearts beat as one: measure the heart rate of two people on one device in front of the camera!

Vital Signs Camera app – another amazing innovation by Philips!

Vital Signs Camera user reviews:
"This is one of those apps that highlights the science-fiction-made-real feel of the ipad. Seems very accurate too. Feels like magic."
★★★★★ Michael Pollock

"you can keep it running in continuous mode for excellent biofeedback in both lowering your breathing rate as well as heart rate. very hard to mess it up if you can just stay relatively still."
★★★★★ Markonw

"Amazing that this is so accurate. The respiration is 100 percent and the pulse rate is /- 1 bmp. That is unbelievable for a something that doesn't even touch you. You have to be well lit but the average lamp works just fine."
★★★★★ Imhotep VII

"Pretty cool app. Won't take the place of a doctor of course, but I think this is the beginning of apps that eventually will."
★★★★★ Booboo77777

"WOW!!! I can't believe it! It really works! It's on the money to an exact reading !!!"
★★★★★ CinderellaSmiles

"Use it with the smart stand in landscape version for best results."
★★★★★ Joseph Nagy
