WBC Baseball is the official app of the World Baseball Classic, to be played March 2-19, 2013, in seven different cities spanning multiple continents. The tournament's 16 national teams are Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Italy, Japan, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Korea, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States, and Venezuela. Features include: •Live Gameday coverage of all games •Scoreboard •Schedule •Bracket (iPad only) •Stats •News •Video highlights •Live and archived MLB Network broadcasts of all games (available for free to authorized users who receive the MLB Network through participating television providers) About the World Baseball Classic The World Baseball Classic is the premier international baseball tournament, sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation, and features the best players in the world competing for their home countries and territories. More than 1.5 million fans from all over the world have attended the tournament games, held in March 2006 and 2009. Team Japan is the reigning World Baseball Classic Champion, taking home both the inaugural and 2009 titles. The upcoming World Baseball Classic will be played in March 2013 and will again feature the greatest baseball-playing nations in the world.
