Flip Text Messages is a retro departure board–style message app inspired by classic split-flap displays. Create messages that flip into place letter by letter, just like the old airport departure boards. Use it to write short messages for focus, motivation, or reflection, or to create something visual you can share with others. Messages are saved locally on your device and can be viewed individually or played back as a slideshow of everything you’ve created. Watching words flip into place with tactile haptic feedback makes the experience calm, focused, and deeply satisfying. You can also share your messages as still images or animated GIFs using the system share sheet, making it easy to send a thought, reminder, or moment in a unique retro style. Flip Text Messages includes a dashboard screen built around the same split-flap aesthetic. The dashboard features a retro clock, calendar view, mini message display, mood indicator, focus mode, yes/no decision helper, and a countdown timer. Each element is designed to be minimal, cohesive, and distraction-free. Flip Text Messages does not require accounts, does not track users, and does not collect analytics. All data stays on your device. This app is not a social network and does not display real-world departure data.
